Helping individuals impacted by brain injury access the right support BrainTrust Canada provides community based services and supports for individuals living with brain injury across the Central and North Okanagan, with some services available virtually across British Columbia. Referrals can be made by health professionals, community partners, family members, caregivers, or individuals seeking support for themselves. If you are unsure whether someone is eligible, please feel free to reach out. Our team is happy to help determine the best next steps.
Who Can Make a Referral
Referrals can be submitted by:
Health care professionals
Social workers or case managers
Justice system professionals
Community agencies
Family members or caregivers
Individuals seeking support for themselves
What Happens After a Referral
Once a referral is received:
1. Our team will review the referral information.
2. If the individual appears eligible, a staff member will contact them (or the referral contact) to follow up.
3. Staff will connect to complete a consent form to reach out to medical professionals to gather medical documentation of a brain injury for eligibility.
4. The individual will be connected with a BrainTrust staff member to begin services.
