At BrainTrust Canada, we are privileged to witness incredible journeys of resilience and triumph among those that we support. We are thrilled to share the inspiring story of Natalie Perrier, who not only overcame numerous obstacles but also found her voice as an author during her recovery journey.
Natalie first came to BrainTrust seeking support and guidance as she navigated the challenges of living with a brain injury. Natalie is a teacher, wife, mother, and daughter. She sustained a brain injury from a stroke on November 18, 2022. When she woke up three days later, Natalie was unable to move or speak. Unfortunately, there was neurological damage that forced Natalie to relearn her alphabet and how to speak again. Despite facing hurdles along the way, Natalie’s journey is a testament to the power of resilience and the human spirit. Now, two years later, Natalie is continuing to work on herself through her speech and mobility in her right hand.
We are thrilled to announce that Natalie recently published, and illustrated, her own children’s book, Anatole. Through her words, we are reminded that no matter how difficult the road may seem, there is always hope for a brighter tomorrow. Her story is a shining example of the incredible strength that lies within each of us. Natalie gives back to the community by reading her story to local French Immersion schools.
As Natalie transitions to a new chapter in her life, we want to express our deepest gratitude for allowing us to be a part of her journey. We are immensely proud of all that she has accomplished and know that she will continue to inspire others with her courage and determination.
